Overview

Honeywell Lynx self-contained wireless panels (L3000, L5210, L7000) combine a control board, keypad, and built-in 5800 Series receiver in one enclosure for compact residential installs.

The panel is the brain of the Honeywell system: it supervises wired and wireless zones, drives bell/siren outputs, manages automation on supported models, and reports to Total Connect 2.0 via AlarmNet when a compatible communicator is installed. Installers program zones, user codes, and dialer options with the installer code (and Compass/downloader on VISTA); end users arm/disarm from keypads, keyfobs, or Total Connect 2.0.

What This Panel Does Well

Before You Service or Replace One

  • Exact panel model — VISTA vs Lynx vs ProSeries vs Lyric — firmware and modules differ.
  • Encryption — SiX vs 5800 Series sensors in the field.
  • Cell module SKU — Total Connect 2.0 vs ADC vs SecureNet vs Telus.
  • Installer code — required for zone changes; document before service.
  • Total Connect 2.0 dealer — account status, plan, and remote programming access.
