Troubleshooting

If adapter is not recognized

  • Confirm panel model is HS3032, HS3128, or HS3248 only.
  • Confirm USB seating and panel power stability.
  • Reboot panel only if required by site procedure.

If Wi-Fi programming app cannot connect

  • Verify HSM3WIFI LED/state per quick start (if applicable).
  • Disable mobile data — some phones route away from panel Wi-Fi.
  • Move installer device within 3 m of panel during initial pairing.

If trouble persists after removal

  • Recheck USB port for debris or bent pins.
  • Refresh keypad trouble display [*, 2] and wait one status cycle.
  • Verify no other USB accessory remains connected.

Replacement path (discontinued product)

Use hardwired IP programming, DLS over communicator, or dealer cloud tools per current DSC Pro commissioning guidance.
