Before You Install or Replace One

  • Confirm exact model number on the keypad label matches the install manual.
  • Verify host panel family — Keybus PowerSeries, Neo Corbus, MAXSYS Combus, and IMPASSA wireless are not interchangeable.
  • Plan unique keypad address or wireless enrollment — duplicates cause bus collisions or offline devices.
  • Check partition assignment (global vs partition keypad) for multi-partition sites.
  • Include keypad current draw in panel AUX / Corbus / battery standby calculations.

Installation Notes

Follow HS2LCD-ICON-RF Installation Manual; HS2LED/HS2ICON Installation Sheet for mounting, wiring, addressing, and enrollment. Summary below — not a substitute for the full manual.

Pre-install checklist

  • Match keypad SKU to host panel family (see compatible-peripherals.md).
  • Select mounting height and tamper-secure back box per local code.
  • Reserve bus power or confirm wireless transceiver capacity on panel.
  • Plan partition and global keypad roles for multi-partition installs.

Typical install sequence

  1. Mount keypad back box and pull bus or confirm wireless coverage at location.
  2. Wire Keybus/Corbus homerun or begin wireless enrollment per manual.
  3. Assign keypad address in panel programming ([013] PowerSeries, [902] Neo/Pro, DLS for MAXSYS).
  4. Set partition assignment and display options.
  5. Test arming, disarming, trouble display, and prox/RF features if equipped.
  6. Document address, partition, and installer access for service handoff.
