Overview
PIR or dual-technology motion detector — wired or wireless commercial/residential motion sensor for protected areas.
On Interlogix systems, wireless devices are supervised zones on the panel — tamper, low battery, and missing signals appear as trouble conditions that may block arming depending on panel programming.

What This Device Does Well
Provides reliable supervised status at the panel and Alarm.com / UltraSync when installed, enrolled, and range-tested correctly.
Before You Service or Replace One
- Sensor SKU — TX-E wireless vs hardwired loop vs 433 MHz expander path.
- Panel online — resolve panel AC/comms trouble before blaming sensor.
- Range — 433 MHz expander or move wireless receiver for distant zones.
- Battery type — use listed cell; replace all batteries in multi-cell devices.
- Tamper — cover fully closed before declaring hardware fault.

Error Codes
Interlogix systems report faults on the panel and keypad status screens, zone list, and Alarm.com / UltraSync (when interactive service is active) — not as a single universal numeric code list across all models.
How to read status
- Open panel status or installer menu → zones / troubles.
- Note zone number, trouble type (open, tamper, low battery, missing, cell fail).
- Cross-check Alarm.com / UltraSync device list if the account is interactive.
- For cell issues, run installer communication test before replacing sensors.
Common trouble indicators
| Symptom | Meaning | First checks |
|---|---|---|
| Zone trouble / missing | Sensor not supervised | Battery, range, tamper, re-enroll |
| Tamper | Cover open | Reseat cover; bracket secure |
| Low battery | Sensor battery weak | Replace with listed type — all cells in multi-cell devices |
| Chronic open (contact) | Magnet gap | Realign; check door warp |
| No response | Wrong RF path | Add 433 MHz expander or relocate receiver/keypad RF path |
Panel actions (typical)
| Action | Where |
|---|---|
| View zone status | Panel home / status → zones |
| Walk test | Installer menu → walk test |
| Delete / enroll sensor | Installer → wireless enrollment |
| Cell test | Installer → communication tests |
| Alarm.com / UltraSync status | Dealer portal or customer app |
