Before You Install or Replace One
- Confirm exact model number on the communicator label matches the install manual.
- Verify host panel family — Keybus PowerSeries, Neo Corbus, MAXSYS Combus, IMPASSA integrated, or universal dialer-capture are not interchangeable.
- Confirm monitoring receiver and account accept this communicator format (Contact ID, SIA, IP, cellular).
- Check carrier/network generation (3G sunset, LTE band, Ethernet path) for your region.
- Add communicator current draw to panel battery standby calculation where the module loads from panel bus power.

FAQs
Which panels does this communicator work with?
See compatible-peripherals.md for the host panel table. This communicator is not universal unless explicitly listed as panel-agnostic dialer capture (3G4010, LE4000, TL300 universal families).
Is this the same as a T-Link receiver?
No. Communicators send signals from the premises panel; Sur-Gard/T-Link receivers accept signals at the central station. Both must be compatible with your monitoring path.
Why does the panel show FTC after install?
Failure to Communicate means the panel could not complete a successful report — check wiring, account programming, receiver availability, and format (Contact ID/SIA) before replacing hardware.
Can I move this communicator to a different panel brand?
Only universal dialer-capture units (3G4010, LE4000, etc.) are designed for multi-brand use. Panel-bus modules (GS2060, TL280, TL880, TL250) are family-specific.
