MAXSYS access control kits bundle PC4820 door control, PC4850 card access, readers, credentials, and related Combus modules for PC4020-based integrated intrusion + access installs. Access shares the same panel, partitions, user codes (up to 1,500), and 64 access levels as burglary—doors can be shunted, scheduled, and reported through the same communicator.

Installation Notes
Deploy MAXSYS access kits on a completed PC4020 Combus backbone with adequate 500 mA bus budget—or add PC4204 repower before loading multiple PC4820/PC4850 modules.
Pre-Install
- Door count, reader type (prox, mag stripe, etc.), and credential technology.
- Fail-safe vs fail-secure strikes; fire release interfaces where required.
- Combus addresses reserved for each PC4820 door module and PC4850 reader module.
Wiring
- Each PC4820 handles door control outputs—follow module install sheet for strike, REX, and contact inputs.
- PC4850 modules wire to card readers per DSC diagrams.
- Maintain tamper and Combus 4-wire throughout.
Programming (DLS)
- Enroll PC4820/PC4850 modules; verify
[04]diagnostics clean. - Create access levels (up to 64) and assign user codes.
- Map doors to partitions and time zones.
- Program reporting for access granted, denied, forced, and held events.
- Test each door: valid code, invalid code, forced door while armed, fire release if applicable.
